Gaza [Palestine], August 13: The Government Media Office in Gaza has released the toll on the 311th day of the war in Gaza.
According to a statement on Telegram, in 3,486 attacks carried out by the Israeli army, 39,897 people have been killed, 16,456 of them children and 11,088 women.
It also said at least 885 medical staff, 168 journalists and 79 civil defence members were killed in the Israeli strikes.
Israeli attacks have killed at least 25 Palestinians across Gaza in the past 24 hours.
Figures from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics show Israeli forces have killed 1.8 percent of the Gaza Strip's population since October 7 - 75 percent of the victims under 30.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians have been forced to flee Khan Younis and sleep on sidewalks and streets elsewhere in the enclave, without food or water.
At least 39,897 people have been killed and 92,152 wounded in Israel's war on Gaza.
An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, and more than 200 were taken captive.
