Abu Dhabi [UAE], July 4: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, congratulated Dr. Badr Abdel Ati on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The two ministers discussed - during a phone call today - fraternal relations, strategic partnership, and ways to strengthen them in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and benefits their peoples.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his best wishes to Dr. Abdel Ati for success in his new role, stressing his keenness to work with him to enhance the deeply-rooted fraternal relations and bilateral cooperation paths between the UAE and Egypt in all fields.
The two top diplomats also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and their security and humanitarian implications, as well as regional and international efforts to reach a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and scale up the humanitarian response to the needs of civilians in the Strip.
